| We assist in animal rescue because our lives have been blessed by being privileged to have animals share our homes. We specialize in rescuing Pomeranians because we were inspired by the unconditional love we received from our first rescue, Piper (seen right). After adopting Piper we welcomed Piccolo into our home and because we loved each little girl so much, we are dedicated to assisting other, less fortunate, Pomeranians find their forever homes. We are not a companion animal shelter. The animals that we rescue are placed in loving, foster homes until a healthy, permanent home can be found for each little life. We also assist other animal rescues in placing and transporting the companion animals that they are currently holding in foster care. While there are Pomeranians at Piper's Place right now, they are in transition and not yet available for adoption at this time. Most rescues are not posted on the website since there are applications waiting. Rescued Pomeranians usually have an issue that needs to be worked on. Their time at Piper's Place allows them to forget the old and learn the new. We are committed to educating the public on the responsibilities of pet guardianship. The decision to adopt a new pet is one that should be approached with a great deal of knowledge and compassion. Families that adopt an animal must understand and appreciate the responsibility and commitment necessary when a new pet is introduced to their household. We adamantly fight puppy auctions and animal abuse! |

| Rescue Angels Tail tucked between your legs, Confusion in your eyes - I know it's hard to understand That Someone hears your cries. When loneliness is all you know And pain is all you feel - And no one can be trusted, And hunger's all to real. That's the time the Lord sees you And lets you know He's there; That's when He sends His messengers - The hearts that love and care. Yes, the rescuers are angels - You cannot see their wings; They keep them folded As they do their caring things. The medicine to make you well, Good food to make you strong; And finally to help you learn That hugs are never wrong. The perfect place then must be found - the home where you can live Secure and safe and happy - With joy to get and give. When you reach your Forever Home, Your place to feel whole, The Angels smile, and off they go - To save another soul. - Julie W. Smith, Golden Retreiver Rescue in Nebraska |
