The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue operates with the following, non-negotiable adoptions requirements:
Pre-adoptive families must have a fence.
Pre-adoptive families must sign an agreement that they will not, under any circumstances and under contractual agreement, give their adopted Pomeranian to another family member, friend, or acquaintance.
Pre-adoptive families must sign an agreement that they will use a harness for walking and exercising their adopted Pomeranian.
Pre-adoptive families must sign an agreement that they will provide better than adequate medical and preventative care for their adopted Pomeranian.
Pre-adoptive families must sign an agreement that they will not let their adopted Pomeranian off-leash unless within a completely enclosed area designed for canine socialization (i.e. a Dog Park) or within a completely enclosed backyard setting.
Pre-adoptive families must sign an agreement that they will provide their adopted Pomeranian with a high quality dog food such as Blue, Innova or Nutro.
Pre-adoptive families must sign an agreement that they will purchase the necessary tools to groom their adopted Pomeranian at least two times weekly.
Pre-adoptive families must sign an agreement that they understand the needs of rescued Pomeranians and will provide extra nurturing for those dogs that have suffered abuse, neglect, and/or puppymill conditions.
The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue does not adopt to individuals or families whose current pets are not spayed/neutered and/or not up to date on all vaccinations.
The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue does not adopt to individuals or families who have been found to have neglected or abused any animal.
The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue does not adopt to individuals or families who have allowed any animal to suffer.
The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue does not adopt to individuals or families who require their pets to live outdoors.
The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue does not adopt to individuals or families who have never housed and/or cared for an adopted animal.
The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue only adopts to individuals or families who live in Nebraska or within two hours of Omaha, NE.
The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue only adopts to individuals or families who have had an in-home pre-inspection of their home.
These requirements are subject to change at any time.
The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue reserves the exclusive right of denying adoption to any individual or family whom they feel would not be able to provide the care necessary for adopting a Pomeranian. The decision to adopt to, not to adopt to, or confiscate from a certain individual or family is at the sole discretion of The Nebraska Pomeranian Rescue and all decisions are non- negotiable and final.
